There are also many more options for apps coming soon as well. If you’re considering buying a new TV this year, take a look at google Tv – there might not be anything better than that yet.
How it works
Chromecasts are a relatively inexpensive piece of technology, they plug into the HDMI input on your television like any other device. Connecting it will prompt you to download an app which will walk you through a set up process, making installation simple. The next step is connecting it to your Wi-Fi network so you can stream content from your phone, tablet or laptop onto your tv. Then there’s programming available for the new Chromecast with google tv such as Netflix and Google Play Movies. That means if you have an Android smartphone, this new form of streaming might be right for you! But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t competition. Another possible advantage is the lower price point. At $35-$40, this might make for a better option for those who don’t want to spend as much but still want access to similar content. All in all, this new technology looks like a promising investment with exciting potentials and the possibility of being one of our favorite pieces of technology!
