With fashion and beauty changing as rapidly as they do, it’s hard to predict what the future holds! Will we still be wearing jeans in 2023? Will we even be wearing clothes? What will the most popular colors be? There are only two ways to find out—ask time travelers, or do your own research! I decided to go with my own research and found some interesting things about what fashion and beauty will look like in 2023. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect!
Makeup Trends
The newest makeup trends are all about achieving a natural look with a pop of color. I predict that bronze, rose gold, and copper will be the hottest colors this season. The look will be sleek and polished with minimal lip gloss or blush to round it out.

The eyeshadow palette is also very important for this look because it needs to have a variety of warm colors like browns, taupes, and bronzes so you can mix them together for the perfect eye color. The liner should be thin but not too thin where you can’t see what you’re doing (especially if you’re applying your makeup on the go!). The lashes should also be long but not too long where they’re going all over your face.
Color Trends
In the coming year, the two biggest color trends are going to be navy blue and emerald green. Navy will replace black as the dark hue of choice, while emerald green is going to take over as the color that dominates our wardrobes. The great thing about both colors is that they can create a variety of different looks depending on what other colors you combine them with. Mixing navy with light pink creates a lovely springtime look for daytime, while adding olive green to your wardrobe will give it a more autumnal feel. Both colors work well with black or white so you can mix up your style any time of year. Navy works especially well with denim jeans, which we all know are timeless classics. Emerald green looks best when paired with brown hues such as khaki or caramel tones to create an earthy yet luxurious ensemble. It’s also wonderful worn with plum shades, ivory whites, and pinks-a versatile color!
Earrings have been seeing an evolution recently-gone are the days of tiny gold hoops being all anyone wears! Large statement earrings have taken their place (and rightfully so!) These chandelier earrings were seen on celebrities at last year’s Emmy Awards and continued throughout award season for its trendiness. They’re perfect if you want something subtle yet noticeable to accessorize any outfit!
Skincare Products
-Skin Scanner -Want to know how your skin is doing? Simply take a selfie with the Skin Scanner app. The app will analyze your skin, identify any problems (or potential issues), and give you personalized recommendations to help you care for your skin.
-Skin Sunscreen -This product is revolutionary because it doesn’t leave the dreaded white cast on your face or body. It goes on clear, blends well with makeup, and also has SPF 50 protection built right into it! It’s available in tinted formulas as well so that you can get that natural look while still getting great protection from the sun. Plus, it’s water resistant and sweat proof which makes it perfect for all of your summer adventures. Not only does this sunscreen protect your skin from the harmful effects of UV rays, but it also provides anti-aging benefits by protecting collagen and elastin production. Finally, this sunscreen won’t make your pores clog like other chemical-based products do so you’ll never have to worry about breakouts again!
In addition to these new skincare products, there are some new hair care products too! Here are some examples of what we’ve been working on:
-Curly Curls Cream Gel

-Lip Glosses will be used to re-color hair. Lip glosses come with a variety of colors, including neon, pastels, and vibrant hues. They are also much more malleable than hair dye, as they can be easily removed from the skin with soap and water. The product is said to have been originally developed for people with cancer who had lost their hair to chemotherapy treatments.
-Hair Dye Ingredients will be all natural. In response to the negative health effects associated with many chemical-based dyes on the market today, consumers are demanding more natural options for their tresses. Manufacturers are responding by creating products made up entirely of natural ingredients. To avoid chemicals such as ammonia, coal tar derivatives and heavy metals that may be found in other types of hair colorants, these newer brands use natural fruit acids or plant extracts instead. The popularity has led some companies to go back to basics: L’Oreal announced plans earlier this year to offer a line of 100% plant-based hair dyes (pictured) which contain no artificial fragrance or preservatives; while Moroccan oil has launched its own Pure Plant Henna Hair Color that claims to not only be free from harsh chemicals but leaves behind an invigorating herbal scent.
